Thanksgiving 2008 and a few more

Bells is fascinated by belly buttons. Here she is trying to find Nana's belly button.

Bella: Hey I think I found it............

Bella: Hey, I DID find your belly button, Nana!

Bella: Ont bibe!!!! (her version of give me five)
Playing with Papaw's rosary beads.

The most beautiful smile in the world.
Smelling her stinky feet. Those feet are tiny but they pack a powerful punch on the olfactory senses!!!!!!! In the words of Bella....SHEWWEEE!!!! NASSY BEET!!!! (Shooo-wee, nasty feet!)

My little turkey getting ready to eat Thanksgiving dinner.

Hey Skylar, gimme that frisbee. I wanna play! (It's not spoiled, it's just EXTREMELY well loved!) :)

Playing in the leaves

I LOVE this one of Slade.

Me, my girl and her passy. The three of us makes for a happy team. Woe be to the person who tries to break us up!! (Nana hates the fact that she still gets her passy from time to time!)

Slade the monkey climbing on the couch.
My chipmunk cheeks!

Hope everyone's Thanksgiving went well! Until the next post......

A walk down memory lane

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a complete sap when it comes to my doodlebug. I was feeling a little nostalgic tonight and was going through a few pics from my myspace page. She is just so stinkin' cute. I can't help myself!!! Here is the precious pumpkin sleeping on my legs while we were still in the hospital. Yep just a day old and already a bowhead!
The first time I got to hold her. It's amazing how you can love someone so much and be so completely terrified of them at the same time. See my face??? I have babysat so much over the years and worked with kids for most of my nursing career I thought "hey, I've got this covered". (at least until the day that I had her!) What was really going on in my head was "Oh my God, what do I do with her??? Do they really trust me enough to take her home???? Shouldn't you have to have a license to breed???" :)
Snoozing away on Mommy's legs. We were STILL in the hospital.

Catching some rays. She had jaundice for about a month. She looks so huge here. Scroll down a little and look at the picture of her holding my finger to get an idea of just how tiny she was. Hard to believe that the baby lying in this picture wore preemie clothes for the first month of her life!!!

Yep, my little furball. Check out that forehead!!!

Ahh....the 8 day old portrait session.

She looks like she has a few chins here but it's just that newborn sharpei-like skin!

In a bed of daisies.

Teensy tiny tootsies.

See what I mean about how tiny? Her whole hand was just a smidgen longer than one joint of my finger.

Looks like a little doll!!!!

Splashing and a strange giggle

The State Fair

We took Bells over to the state fair in Shreveport. My photos are a little out of order. Here we are riding back home with sugar mama eating her toes. Must taste good!!! Oh and she has finally made it into an infant size 3 shoe!!! Teeny tiny feet!
A decent self portrait. We were waiting on Percy Sledge to take the stage.
Bells feeding Taylor some french fries.
Big ole cheesy grin!

Chillaxin' in the wagon with Taylor.

What a cutie pie!!!!

My baby must have been starving because she LOATHES potatoes!!!! She is the ONLY baby I have ever seen that just will not eat a potato of any kind. You might get lucky and get her to eat sweet potato baby food but that's about it. This pic is an extreme rarity!!! She ate about a fourth of it before she decided it was nasty and tried to gag!

Riding on the firetruck.

Posing with Papaw in front of her favorite ride. If you ever see us at the mall, it WILL be on the carousel!!! She is an addict.

So cute.

My favorite animal, the giraffe.

Kendall feeding the giraffe.
Bells was a little scared.

Kendall and Bells waiting to see the extreme canine show.

They were trying to touch the llama. No spitting please!

Kendall feeding the goats.
Pointing to the carousel when we first got there.

Happy Halloween!!!

Happy Halloween everyone! Here's my little ladybug! First up is a view from the back.
How much cuter can she get???
This is a ten on the cute richter scale!!!

Ok, Mom, enough with the pictures...it's time to go get some candy!

Just had to throw this one in. She was TERRIFIED of the pumpkin pirate!

She whispered "tick teat" (her version of trick or treat) one time and wouldn't say it again!
